In the event of a death at home, please notify medical or emergency services, or contact the police. Medical personnel will issue a death notice, and a funeral home will be called to remove the deceased. If the death occurs in a hospital, the hospital staff will issue the death notice and arrange for a funeral home to collect the deceased. K2M Funeral offers a 24-hour emergency line for assistance.
Traditional funeral plans offer coverage for 6 to 8 family members, while single plus plans provide unlimited coverage.
A policyholder is an individual or entity who owns a funeral policy. This person or entity has the legal rights and responsibilities outlined in the policy, including paying premiums and filing claims. The policyholder is also the primary person or entity entitled to receive benefits or coverage as specified in the insurance contract alongside their dependents.
A waiting period is the time an insured person must wait before their funeral cover becomes active. During this period, benefits may not be available for claims made. This period is also sometimes called an elimination period or a qualifying period.
K2M does not have a joining fee.

The client will waiver the waiting period, as long as the previous policy was up to date.
A lapsed policy occurs when the premiums due are not paid. This means that the policy is effectively cancelled, and the policy holder, beneficiary or extended members cannot claim any benefits on the policy. However, lapsed policies can always be reinstated, which means you can continue to give your loved one’s funeral cover if you are no longer around.
The terms and conditions of funeral policies state that a policy lapses 60 days (2 Months) after a premium has not been paid.
